Ruthie doesn’t understand what the words in the wedding vows mean, she makes the cutest substitutions!Those are her grandparents she’s with, they even look old to me, but whoever reads the comics is a forever kid.
Humans do that when they hear words that are unfamiliar they make them familiar, and as Ruthie does with humorous result.
