Once I was patrolling, and came upon a giant snapping turtle crossing the road. I moved it out of the road and was standing on the side when someone I knew drove by and stopped. He came over and we were standing there talking next to the turtle, when suddenly the power line above us just snapped and dropped in between us! Turns out a car had hit a pole a few blocks away, and the line just happened to snap where we were. This strip just kind of reminded me of that.

Did snow just fall? Kind of hard to tell with the comic being uncolored.

Better white snow from a tree limb than blue ice from a passing jet.

Looks like Grandpa has a worry now, too.

Classic, evergreen joke. Remember Mel Brooks as Moses saying, “God has given you these 15 <*crash*>, 10 commandments!”?

since ruthie’s worried, today’s comic should be re-titled: One Big Un-Happy.
