I wonder how he came up with those names? Are they really kids he knows?

Dunno if he knows them… but consider Dakota Fanning, Orlando Bloom, Paris Hilton and Paris Jackson, Brooklyn Decker and Brooklyn Beckham, India Arie…

Ireland… somebody…. oh yeah Baldwin…. Austin ….um… Powers, ok, fictional….

But it does seem to be a thing.

Not even counting all the people who have shared their names for generations with places like Georgia, Sydney and Charlotte.

It was popular in early 20th centuary also (Indiana Jones). In the 70s I met women named Arizona and Mississippi.

Could be worsr; when I was a substitute teacher, I had kid in class once named – I kid you not – Darvon. I spent the whole day working at not asking him if he had a sister named Vicaden……….

Have a nephew named Camden, a great grandson named Austin, and work with a lady named Medina. Camden has two sisters – Brooklyn and Cardie Victoria. (Cardie was my Australian grandmother’s maiden name, and Victoria is a city in Oz.)

What ever happened to names like Tom, Bill, Joe, Sally and Mary? My Granddaughter’s name is Alice and I think she is the only one in her whole school.
