What kind of ambition is that?

Our son told his dad that he was going to just be a supervisor. “Every job needs a supervisor.” They all have such a small view of the world when their young. That’s the best part about this strip – the naivete.

“And none of my customers will write letters to complain”…that’s probably because most of the letters will be done online…

Poor Joe. There are lots of rules and regs governing cemeteries, and he’ll need to be able to read them. His “customers” may not complain, but the local governor certainly might.

“Chillin’ in the ground?” Wow! Really Joe?

You’ll need to know math too. because you’ll have to sell plots and budget for upkeep.

Not a funny strip today.

The ones in the ground are the product. The customers are the ones that you’ll try to get to pay.

He could be like George Costanza. The character on Seinfeld. George works so hard to avoid work. Like the British cartoon comic strip character Andy Capp.

Nobody gets to give orders right from the start, barring nepotism.

Of course the dead don’t complain, their relatives do it for them.

He forgets his customers only pay rent once.
