I love Ruthie, and as a retired teacher, I can sympathize with her frustrations, but I am reminded of my left-handed grandmother who was locked in a closet by her teacher until she would write with her “right” hand (ca. 1900).

I have a video of my brother-in-law and two college chums playing “When The Saints Go Marching In” with a variety of armpit and hand farts, from a David Letterman special back in the 80s. Inspirational.

Why is there an Easter themed comic in my newspaper, and this school based one here?

Numbers are words. One, two, three, twenty, one hundred. In fact, if anyone ever challenges you to say 100 words in 90 seconds that do not contain the letter “A,” the best thing to do would be to start counting. The letter “A” doesn’t appear in any numbers until you get to one thousand.
