Good duck voices are hard. I recall back in the 50’s all the kids in the neighborhood tried to speak like Donald Duck after The Wonderful World of Disney began on TV.

The Ugly Duckling is a horrible story. It teaches kids that the only way to be lovable is to be beautiful.

Mr. Detorie is consistently brilliant. Who doesn’t want to have a beverage with him and just listen to him for a while? Careful not to laugh so hard that beer shoots out of your nose – ouch.

I love this strip. Characters are so cute and quirky and pun-ny.

I was beginning to think it was the kiddie version of Crime And Punishment except Raskalnikov wasn’t a mutant; not much of one, anyway.

Frank was a very eloquent speaker — but then, his voice “quacked”! d;o)

Meanwhile, who’s having “one of those days” in today’s strip at creators.com?

The Ugly Duckling isn’t a mutant. Rudolph is.
