Yep! I had wonderful libraries as a kid. The librarians never restricted what I read, nor did my parents. I was reading my way through the non-fiction section starting when I was about 11. It’s rare for me not to have at least 3 books going at once :)
That is how I feel entering a library, when I was Ruthie’s age that was only done during school time for the library, during summer time my mom never brought us to a library, she was not into books to her a waste of time, and I made up for that on paper backs to hardback books. And I do have a tablet.

I was like Ruthie as a kid; you couldn’t get me out of the library!

Me too. I’d check out 10-12 books at a time.

Me as well, loved and still love to read. Usually read 2 at the same time, as one is near my bed and the other downstairs.

YES! Love the smell of libraries. And the smell of books…particularly new books. A tablet can never replace a “real” book.

Books contain information. Information is power. Power is energy. Energy can warp the space-time continuum. That’s why libraries are dangerous places.

They can put Ruthie in charge of public relations.

I loved the ‘feel’ of a library as a kid.
