Escargot, Escargoing, Escargone!
It’s a different breed of snails that are edible, not our garden variety. Salt is used to clean them out. They don’t leave a slime trail.
How about some edible slugs?

French garden snails were “introduced” to North American when vintner Paul Masson longed to taste them again. He went to France, got some snails and started a colony in Saratoga, CA. Some got out and here we are.
Mom state front yard to all yard for snails bad.
