Teaching a child that garbage is cruel. If you religion is so weak you have to scare kids with eternal torture, it belongs on the scrape heap of history. Child abuse is all that is showing.
My mom was a clerk at the health department and got to see many odd names when parents brought their kids in for shots. The only one I remember was from 1963, Rotunda. So what was the inspiration for that name? After JFK’s assassination, TV coverage of the aftermath was extensive including his body lying in state in the room of the Capital Building known as… you guessed it… The Rotunda.

It’s not just the famous ones. When I was a substitute teacher, I once had a lad in class named – I kid you not – Darvon.
It was a triumph of self control that I never once asked him if he had a sister named Percocet.
