When my kid was in a Montessori school, at the first parent-teacher thing, the teacher told us the structure for a typical day. Then followed that with something like “I’ve been here for ten years and that’s never happened.”
Now I understand why our libraries like to have a dog therapy room where kids quietly read to the dog, one at a time. Yet another thing I had to pause until covid is – I want to say gone – safer. My dog really misses the kids!
I used to dislike the faces in this strip, years ago, but the reacting face in the last panel is a perfect rendition of what faces like mine do when I’m not pouring all my effort into being presentable. Maybe I should resent it.

English teachers used to hate that line by captain Kirk. And now I don’t know if they care anymore or not.
