Good morning, vagabonds. Jan, I immensely enjoyed your comments on “The Wizard of Oz,” one of my favorites. You may even say that “The Wizard” indirectly led me to my novel, “The Promise of Bisibi.”
Yesterday, I unloaded all the stuff I had in my bedroom closets. There were bags of clippings I hadn’t looked at for years, most of them comics. I went through everything paper by paper and got rid of stuff that’s no longer relevant. I’m trying to move small pieces of furniture into the closets that line my wall by my bed so I can put my bed right against the wall. The room still shows the effect of my reorganization, so, as soon as I dust the closet floor, I shall be putting everything back.
Internet is slow this morning. I type the letters and it doesn’t show up until I’m through. Oh well.
Thanks, Jan. Love movie trivia! I grew up in Glendale, CA, which is a hop and skip from Hollywood. So, the movies were common, everyday happenings. It was the biggest treat to see a “first run” movie down in Hollywood itself, rather than wait for it to be “cut” and sent to the local theaters.
Our cold wave is over. Back to decent end-of-summer weather for another month or so.
Thank you, Jan. If anyone wants to read it online, please let me know. However, the original book has maps and a tree of characters but is too expensive to snailmail.
I just spent an hour taking apart a tree branch that had fallen in a big windstorm. New observation: You know you are tired when it takes both hands to cut a branch less than 1/8 of an inch thick with a pair of nice sharp Florian clippers.

Good morning Vagabonds.
Jan: What you wrote was very interesting. You never know why some of the choices are made.
