Bug Blog by Cuco Rocha Foreigned In a Capitol Hill hearing, Republican Florida Rep. Curt Clawson mistook Indian-American federal officials for Indian government officials. He, in turn, was mistaken for a functioning brain possessor.
Not really sure I’m following your line of reasoning Skippy. How exactly does someone gain credibility by claiming to be Hispanic since it’s probably the most disparaged ethnicity in the U.S.?
BTW, unless they possess doors and windows they are officials not offices
Point well taken in the case of African Americans Night-Gaunt but I think you will have to agree that claiming that there is any advantage to falsely claiming Hispanic heritage is a little deranged.
Oh, indie, in trying (unsuccessfully) to claim the higher ground after all your months of grousing and name-calling, you seem not to be able to recognize what it is. Lalo didn’t call Clawson any names at all. Really. Go back and look. And neither has anyone else on today’s board, unless maybe you’re referring to Jeffie’s name-calling of Elizabeth Warren? That must be it, right?
Warren’s application asked if she had Indian heritage. She does, as many of us do- and I’m a redhead. I would have answered “yes” because the truth is “yes”- I’m also have about 20 other “heritages”. If I was a dog, I would be a certified mutt. So, when I’m asked for my racial background, I write “human”, or I check all the boxes. Warren told the truth, would you have preferred that she lie?

…and, if someone on GoComics insulted another just like you did, they’d be banned…

They have nothing on her, so they lie about her. It’s just from fear.
