I had a co-worker who would listen to radio call in shows on his way home from work at 3:30 in the morning and he had a 70-mile commute. He said the entertainment value kept him laughing and chuckling all the way and that was better than coffee or other chemical stimulants.
Linus sounds a lot like Sally would later sound in some of her oral classroom reports. (Both apparently kept their specificity in their other pants…….)

Sad part is that talk radio hasn’t really improved any in 47 years… ;)

Amen, M Mitchell Marmel..On my NPR station, there’s Diane Rehm, and that’s the only call in show.

My husband listens to those in the car. Don’t know how he stands it. Of course, he sometimes comes in ranting….OK, I don’t know WHY he stands it!

How prescient that Linus sounds like a typical modern-day talk show caller (or host), regardless of whose “team” they’ve chosen to be on.

Maybe is WAS Rush Limbaugh he was calling…

Funny how we never see ourselves in the way we point out others weirdness.

This could apply just as well to the Comments section of just about any article online.

This comic is what people say that is what someone like me who never asked for that it’s all about the other thing. And that’s the truth! :-)

If Linus had his own radio show, I would tune in every day. I wonder how many listeners he would get?xxx

Why is Linus advocating suicide?
