I recently saw as PSA asking people to “Adopt-a-Hydrant” and dig them out when the snowplows bury them. (It’s been a record-breaking winter here in the Philly suburbs.)
Really, Joe? Hmmm… I think I’m going to make that my mission - to cover up all the hydrants I can find with snow. MUWAHAHAHA! They’ll never catch me!
Of course, they’ll still be able to find the hydrants, because we’ve gotten smart here, they attach like an 8-foot-tall orange tube/pylon to our hydrants so they can be found even with a huge snowfall or an errant snow-plow.

the snow plows do that job here but they don’t make snowmen , the residents are then required to clear them
