    Just raise the price of your services, then when customers complain and threaten to cancel, tell them you’ll give them more access to the premium stuff and you promise not to raise the price for a minimum of three years.

    That’s what our cable company did. At the end of the three-year period, they jacked up the price 7%. I cut the cord and now use the library to get DVDs (and yes, books).
