lord of the flies is a good, fairly short read too (a few days if you spend maybe an hour or two reading each day). haven’t read moby dick.

Now who assigns 6th graders Moby Dick? I read that, and there re some parts not for 6th graders. Starting off with the fact that they say “dick” a lot. (I’m being serious and joking at the same time.)
