It’s OK, both sides can throw rocks at the moderates in the middle. In all my years in politics, I have never seen such partisan animosity, prejudice and intellectual dishonesty as is present in the current political environment.I blame intellectual laziness. There has never been a time like the present, with so much opportunity to be informed, and apply critical thinking, and so many choose to accept those partisans who pander to readers’ biases and prejudices.Freedom of thought.Use it or lose it.JusSayin
I heard a comment last night that makes sad sense. Politics has become a team sport. When the discussion starts, each side puts on their uniform and there’’s no room for compromise, just victory at any cost. “Clowns to the left of me, jokers on the right…”
“See yesterday’s post..” Why, it’s just more of your partisan pontificating. Considering your choice of avatar, it’s hard to take you seriously. I admit though, you picked a very accurate, descriptive avatar.
Although I am more conservative than tea partiers, I have less problem with even crazed leftists than I do with “moderates.” Moderates are rudderless souls, guided by no beliefs or ideology, blown by whatever is the prevailing political wind. A moderate’s virtue is his one true belief, that his superior individual knowledge of the world allows him to adjudicate every issue without ever seeing any patterns to the history of man. At least the crazy leftists have an informed guiding light, even if it is one I despise.
Moderates fail to grasp the truth of Christ, that no man can have two masters. “Peace” and “freedom” are mutually exclusive. Leftists choose “peace” and surrender “freedom,” conservatives choose “freedom” and sacrifice “peace,” and moderates choose “neither.”
