I have no idea how it worked out that way, but for all the picnics and cookouts my family had when I was a kid, we were never bothered by ants. Maybe it was because the ants didn’t want to compete with all of the flies, deer flies, bees, wasps, and hornets. Of course, I can’t leave out the mosquitoes even though they rarely bit me.
