Our Governor is about to propose an 11% cutback on education spending because of budget troubles.
Everyone complaining their taxes are too high, should have to identify what they are willing to cut out of the budget, and not something symbolic like “earmarks” or “foreign aid” - I mean significant cuts that would actually bring the budget to balance.
Of course you might want to consider living with some deficits in a recessionary period. Just don’t take the next Democratic surplus as an excuse to cut taxes next time.

If this ever changes I might start believing. Until then, no way. Progression has been hopeful, bitter, bitterer. I pray it doesn’t become bitterest.
