What makes you think Dad is going to pay for you to go to a four year party?

or be like my dad… went to work and never came home again. missing for 50 years.

Pick expensive colleges all you want, kid! If dad’s paying the bill, you may be just picking your nose…

I’m not sure where this pervasive idea that parents had to pay for their kid’s full ride at college came about. I sure didn’t expect that nor get it. I got some help from my folks and worked for the rest.

Here’s my advice: Pick a college with a good co op program so that you can work in the real world for a couple of semesters. It will provide some income, help you grow up and greatly increase your chances of getting a good job after you graduate.
