Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for October 16, 2014
October 15, 2014
October 17, 2014
Transcript:
Calvin: "Hobbes, do you think our morality is defined by our actions, or by what's in our hearts?"
Hobbes: "I think our actions SHOW what's in our hearts"
Calvin: "I RESENT THAT!"
12:35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
I try to refrain from preaching, but I can’t pass this up.
" Our own flaws do us in every time no matter how far we may advance in other areas."
The Christian sees this as the reason for our Earthly existence. We are here to learn that we cannot save ourselves. Never have, never will. That is the whole point, and you just nailed it.
