Heck, the fact that this kid can even draw that good at his age, I don’t think Dad should critique him on his drawings at all.

Duck tape was the original spelling, Duct tape only became popular in the 1950s. So much so that by the 1970s a company was able to trademark the old spelling Duck Tape. Really!

What does Thatadad know anyway; innovation is only limited by technology and your imagination. Keep dreaming kiddo.

Originally invented for sealing ammunition boxes during WWII. Called Duck Tape because it shed water like the back of a duck and kept it out of the ammo. Works very poorly for sealing ducts if they carry hot air.

It was originally called duck tape, the name only changed when it started being used in a different way.

Most home improvement pros will tell you that duct tape is just about the worst thing in the world for sealing ducts, hot or cold air. Get the metal tape; that’s what you really want to use.

At a Camp where I volunteer every summer, one year we had a special superhero appear.

“Sounds like a job for … DUCT TAPE MAN!”

actually it was green and Was called Duck Tape, because of “water off a ducks back” It was green and used a lot on WW2 for all of it’s many uses. When the war was over and there was a building boom, it was a natural for taping ducts. so it became silver color.Do Baby wins this one!
