Clayton: Glearggh. Katy: What is it with you and monsters? Clayton: Well... Monsters are awesome. Duh. Katy: It's just interesting is all. Some boys are dinosaur guys. Or robot guys. Or they're really into cars or sports. But monsters are your thing aren't they? Clayton: where are you going with this? Katy: I wonder... Do you relate to their inherent hideousness? Or to how they're shunned by decent society? Or how girls flee from them, screaming? Clayton: That part would be nice right about now.

Don’t worry Katy. Its a phase. Clayton will out grow monsters. Head to horror, SF, fantasy, model building, and then back to monsters to start the cycle all over again. … Unless his wife by then – re-directs his energies.

My 1/2 brother loaned me a Heinlein novel when I was nine. I was astonished I could check out more of them from the Library. I’m sure the librarian was pleased with the skinny kid who kept coming back for more. It’s still “So many books, so little time.” :-)

When I was younger, I thought about girls all the time. Some turned out to be real monsters; not defined as huge you know, but they were certainly aggressive in a monster like manor..Ok, I still think about other girls; but, after 43 plus years of marriage I just look and listen, I no longer touch…
