Good morning everyone!

Things are falling into place rather nicely. Will Axel and his boys change that?

@Gweedo – the ‘Running Boards" of cars from that era were very strong. It was not uncommon for a LOT of people to pile into a car and hang all over then too. I remember seeing pics of over 50 people riding a car from the 30’s and 40’s.

He doesn’t have to fit into the car. He can just hang on to the outside like this:They’d better be careful, though. Punjab is bound to attract attention if anyone sees him.

So far, at least, Tracy feels that they haven’t been discovered by Axel. The next few days are going to be interesting. Tracy has a lot of ‘splainin’ to do with Fritz Ann and the rest of the gang.

After making all that noise, driving around with the cars headlights on, taking your sweet time catching up on old times NOW you want to find a hiding place? LOL!

You know, ol’ Dick’s going to have one heckuva time keeping all those folks inconspicuous on the way back into town.

I’m sure Axel is on his way. Five parachutes with a full moon from a noisy B-17 could not have gone unnoticed.

Is it just me, or is Tracy’s jaw even MORE square in this series?

Good morning DT and Annie fans. Axel probably knows that they are on the island.

“But before we go rushing headfirst into town, why dont we take a seat and have some tea? Surely nobody is going to be looking for us.. and besides, here in Simmons Corners it’s still 1944, we have PLENTY of time to catch Axel by 2014.”

Talking about Tracy’s fedora – I’ve asked this before and never got an answer, but why is the tie on the right side? The tie is supposed to be on the left side. I’m talking about the little tie on the hatband.

All Axel knows with certainty is that the plane has flown over the island again. He rightly surmises that this is no accident, but there is no evidence that he could see the parachutists. Tracy and Annie drove away from town before catching sight of them. That the team landed in the bulrushes suggests they were dropped near the water’s edge. I don’t know the size of the island, but it is not likely that Axel could see the jumpers. He didn’t even have binoculars.

This motley crew is making more noise than a Texas Long Horn at a Mr. G school reunion party!

Tracy wants to find a hiding place, heh? I guess the Band of Good Guys needs time to sort out what intel they have collectively and then formulate a plan to overcome Axel and his gang. At least they have communications capability now (as Daddy points out today in panel 1, and as Tracy has been re-fitted by Sam with his Wrist Wizard)….

They may need to dress in era suits/dresses not to be detected. Sam will have no problem as he dresses like it’s 1943-49 every day!!!

I’m not an expert on magical fairy trolls but I can smell the stench of an obsessed comments board stalker anywhere. LOL! LOL! LOL!

I think Axel knows who everyone is on the island and would recognize that strangers were among them, even in their Zoot suits.

Where are they going to hideout where they won’t be seen? The Junior Commandos’ headquarters? The Silos’ barn?

I really hope the end of this storyline will be the end of Annie and Warbucks in the Tracy saga. Sorry, but this storyline has done nothing for me.

Tracy’s line about the size of his car almost recalls the famous line from Jaws. “You’re gonna need a bigger boat.” I’m sure they’ll manage somehow, although it will be a tight fit.

It’s interesting that Fritz Ann knows Prof. Kenyon instantly without any explanation. He must be relatively well-known.

Too bad they don’t make running boards anymore.

Running boards are quite common on SUVs today and come in handy when you are washing the vehicle’s rooftop or securing stuff to the luggage rack. I drive a 2013 FJ Cruiser (Toyota) and that was the first thing I had installed so my wife can step up on something to get in.
