Fair use (as in satire and parody) is protected. The first big case on that was probably Disney v.s. Mad Magazine (with the good people prevailing, natch!)
Shock therapy is sort of “dark ages” treatment, isn’t it? If it is still in use, it must be only as a last resort?..Unless I am mistaken (and I’m sure I will be corrected if I am)
Lucy once tried to use shock therapy on Charlie Brown, but hers was to show him slides of all his faults. Maybe lio will have better success, but I would hate to see where he is going to attatch those clamp to on the good ol’ blockhead.
Trying to shock someone with 12 volts is pointless. There’s no enough voltage to break down human skin. A Frenchman did commit suicide with a D cell, though. He soldered wires and needles to the battery then stuck a needle into each wrist. A D cell’s short circuit current is ≈ 300 milliAmps and that was enough to stop the guy’s heart.
Lio is such a clever businessman! Note that he doubles the price, for a service much more dubious even than Lucy’s! And I’m sure he will attract the people who want the latest and best and most expensive as prestige-display (our potlatch).

I would be very concerned about ten cent shock therapy.

How does Mark Tatulli get away with putting characters from other strips in his cartoons? Isn’t he violating copyright laws?

When all else fails, you end up in a padded cell next door to Bill the Cat.
