We keep treats handy for visitors. Our pit bull is not the reason, however – he’s as sweet as they come – but our Australian Shepherd is the alpha and she growls menacingly at anyone she does not know.

Friends of mine had pitbulls and you didn’t need treats for them – just a lap. As soon as you sat down they’d try to come and sit on your lap.
