Curfew in the first Bavarian city since yesterday. We’re waiting for it to come for Munich, too. Good thing we took a walk yesterday in the early evening (running a small errand) and got some ice cream from our favorite place (street sale only at the moment).
On the bright side: Cleaner air and a wonderful night sky.
We’re well stocked (not only TP ;-D), and since water, electricity, telephone and internet usually run stable here, we should be ok (knock on wood).
I always expect seasons to start on the 21st of a month… but Google reminded me that Spring 2020 starts today… March 19th.

I’m not really a sports fan… actually no sports fan at all…
But this is a great old movie.
And a great poster… which appears to be a joint effort, if the signatures are to be believed… between StelBel and Nighthawks.
Oooh…. I love to watch Zazu Pitbull…. those tiny lips and huge eyes!
Especially in her early roles, like this.
Too bad she’s not on the poster… she probably wore a wonderful hat.
According to IBMdB (The Internet Basset Movie Data Base), all six of the famous Floppydora Pups play roles in it, too.
They’re so beautiful, with their earflapper costumes and curly fur.
I found a human version… but it’s already been posted.
Why does it take three of them to do the job of two bassets?
Probably a human has only 2/3 the box-office drawing power of one basset hound.
This is a real old fashioned kibblecorn muncher of a melodrama… from pathos to comedy, or vice versa, in 2 seconds flat.
Bad guys and good guys and lots of piano music.
Can’t wait.
The best thing about sitting together at the BassetplexIII, is that we’re actually miles apart…. no worries about time zones, quarantine, curfews, or “social distancing.”

IMHO Wally Beerbasset never got the recognition he deserved. Another outstanding poster by our intrepid duo. Never ceases to amaze me. More talent in one paw than I have in my whole body.
Just read a Miami Herald article that gives me a little better feeling. Chinese studies of Covid-19 shows O blood types less likely to get it. Guess who’s O-? This guy. Still quarantining and all of the other things, but hey, I’ll take it.
Each time I see this poster, I giggle about the extra leg Red Hat has. Then I look at the poster more closely and see that it truly is only two legs. Silly me.
