    Thanks for the comments, folks, and for the obvious interest in this storyline from the last two weeks, which wraps up tomorrow.

    cdward is right - Zack was in adult jail to make the point more clearly. It seemed more like satire that way. Had we sent Zack to juvenile hall, it would have actually seemed like one of the darker after-school specials.

    Just the same, thanks for expressing concern for these characters we’ve created. My intention is to make them seem like resilient people. I think readers who follow (or have followed ) the strip for a while pick up on that, as well as other themes, although they tend to evolve at a pace somewhat slower than “real”time.
