I’ve always been intrigued by how we generalize certain products. Instead of diapers we always said “Pampers” no matter the brand. I believe it stems from the fact that there were many choices years ago…no everybody’s making everything!
My co-worker is from Indiana and she said everything is a coke…what kind of coke do you want? mountain dew, sprite, etc…
Crock pot? Oh that thing in its original box at the back of the closet. Now where’s my lobster pot for my corned beef and cabbage? You mean you can plug in a heating device, leave for the day, and your meal will be all cooked? I got to try that with the iron.

Jane really should appreciate her younger kid more. It’s really good that a kid that age would find that tidbit cool.

I’m with ejcapulet. I’m always tickled when my kids come home with bits of knowledge that they are excited about.

In comparison to what I knew as a kid, my children never cease to scare the He** out of me with all the stuff they know!
