When I was young, my parents bought me a set of white plastic building blocks. This was pre “Lego”, but the set contained single and double blocks, red windows, and green cardboard for roofs as I recall. It is one of those items everyone wishes they had saved for another generation; but sadly, they are gone forever…
I used to play with the old style legos, at least with them you had to use your imagination to build some thing with the new ones it’s all ready planned out.
There is a hilarious Bob Newhart routine involving a novice night watchman the night King Kong climbs the Empire State Building. ‘No sir. I don’t think he signed the guest register.’
