Down, Punjab!!! Easy, big fellow. Look, Ma Silo cooked you up a nice plate of curry for breakfast, with a large mango lassi. You will feel much better once you eat.

Here’s the problem with crossover stories; The Asp and Punjab are coming across in today’s strip as thugs who happen to be on the “right” side! I mean Punjab looks like he’s almost possessed by something in panel 3. Any fan of Annie knows he’ll use force as a last resort. You’re incorporating characters in a story that you aren’t that familiar with. In other news I’m too old for these DC walking tours! LOL!
Good morning DT and Annie fans. Good suggestions all. IThe voice in the last panel doesn’t sound like Warbucks nor Tracy. I think that it is possibly the professor. Maybe tomorrow we will find out?
It’s got to be Tracy. He is with them, and he’ll want Axel to get due process. Besides, there are a lot of questions we need answers to, and, as we’ve learned, that carpet doesn’t give up it’s secrets.
Hey, Avenger, old buddy! Wanna make your visit to DC interesting? Try hopping across the fence @ 1600 Pennsylvania and sprinting toward the finish line (hint: it’s at the big door on the building in front of you).
It has been a fairly interesting trip. But PLEEEZE, can we have Dick Tracy back? I never really cared for Annie even as a kid. And “Tomorrow, Tomorrow…a day away” drives me crazy.
Nightgaunt, concentrating on the VILLAIN is fine, but when the SUPPORTING CAST completely overshadows the SUPPOSED main character, then theres a problem. (and i dont mean the 2nd string like sam, lee, lizz, etc.. but the 3rd or 4th string of guest stars like p-jabby, ollie and the asp)

The Magic Blanket!!!
cpalmeresq about 10 years ago
Yes, let’s hear the explanations first before Punjab poofs him!

Maybe he also has something like a magic sheet or a pillowcase that when put over his head makes Axel fess up to what’s going on.

Well, at least he didn’t “disappear” Axel. That would have been tragic. We do have to hear some explaining.

Wake me when any member of the Dick Tracy cast appears in this strip again. Lately it should be called Orphan Annie.

Punjab and “Friend Asp” have got to be the most loveable assassins I’ve ever seen.

To those complaining about Punjab’s behavior today —He’s just trying to reunite Axel with his troops.
Can't Sleep about 10 years ago
I wonder if Axel will reveal that they’re all in 1942, and that he’s really working for Ming the Merciless.

Tracy, proper police man that he is would try to stop Punjab from taking the law into his own hands.

The Asp is from Istanbul. They sell these kinds of carpets there..

They don’t really disappear. Punjab sends them to Scottsdale.
