@Ken in Ohio@Ray TolarDid y’all get my post late yesterday in regard to Prof Kenyon and his similarity to Ezra Eon?

The original Harold Gray character was a balmy little scientist named Eli Eon, who was featured in a story back in the 30s. Eli Eon was killed by an angry mob, but was brought back, sort of, by Leonard Starr, in the 80s, when Starr introduced a new character named Ezra Eon. Ezra was either Eli’s son or nephew, and was the spitting image of his predecessor. Now, Staton and Curtis seem to have brought the character back again in the person of Professor Kenyon, who is identical to the other two. Team Tracy has, so far as my knowledge goes, not offered any explanation for the character as of yet.

The only way I think of how Axel was able to attack Fritz Ann, is that he must of done a head butt. Either that, or that pointed beard of his is sharper than we thought. That beard is a deadly weapon.

I suppose it’s possible Axel slammed his head into Fritzies to knock her out. He’s taller than her so he’d have leverage. He’ll disappear like most of Tracy’s villains do!

Avenger09, I just read your last post from last night, including the one to me. I think the new poster was trying to make humor with a play on words – as we all do – and you took it a little too seriously. Putting it another way, if you play in the kitchen for long, you are going to touch a hot skillet someday. He did so quite quickly. As you are quite aware, many people here are “role-playing”. You are probably the nicest guy alive, but you also play the troll sometimes. You and Timmy are the best at that game, and it is entertaining. Sometimes I play the troll and get dumped on by you and others. I earned it, as you and Timmy have. Mattie was by far the best at that game and it played a huge part in the popularity of the strip and the commenters section. Lighten up; and think more about keeping your head on your shoulders when you go to an ISIS family reunion! Peace, as my friend Bassmanbob would say.

My first thought when I saw today’s strip was – “Hey, isn’t that what Hy Pressure did on the Wheaton farm?”My guess is that Axel’s got an escape tunnel hidden in Kenyon’s house.Of course, Axel might get there just in time for the big bang…

Axel has been thought to be dead before. I suspect he will arrive at the lab just in time for the explosion but no body will ever be found leaving it open for him to return again.

I hope we get to see the ka-boom when it happens.So much of the “action” in this story has been off screen, it’s like getting popcorn at the movies:—“So – what did I miss?”“Well…“Fritz Ann was distracted by all the shouting from outside, and Axel sprang into the air, spun around 360 degrees, and kicked out at Fritz Ann. “She ducked under his leg, but he knocked the gun from her hand! “She caught his ankle, and slammed him into the wall, stunning him. “Then when she scooped up her gun, Axel did a back flip, pushed off from the wall and shot across the room at her.“She saw him coming, and leaped up to go flying at him, just like in those big martial arts, flying kick scenes.“They collided in mid-air!“Fritz Ann’s pump caught Axel in the jaw, where it snagged in his beard! “Axel doubled up into a ball, and the two of them crashed to the floor!“Then, with Fritz Ann’s shoe still stuck in his beard, Axel tried to get up and make a run for it, pulling Fritz Ann to the floor where she bumped her head on the antique ottoman!“Axel managed to drag her across the room by his beard. Then he pulled his beard between the fireplace andirons, and knocked the shoe off Fritz Ann’s foot.“And now he’s making a run for it, with her shoe still in his beard!”“Wow! It’s a good thing this is a movie – they could never put all that in the comic strip version!”

You omitted the best part…. when Fritz Ann climbed up to the top rope and did a crash dive belly flop on Axel, while the ref dropped to his knees and began the count. Axel reached out and tagged up with his partner and the last we know is that he was seen fleeing the arena, screaming like a Banshee.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DICK TRACY!

Secret tunnel? Certainly it’s about the last we’ll see of Axel for quite a while.

Does Team Tracy have something against Fritz Ann? Look at her history. Does she ever get her man? It’s always Tracy and Co. coming to her rescue/cleaning up her cases. Now another one gets away.

The odd prisoner may make a run for it, but Tracy’s doing okay considering he has spent 83 years in the police service as of today.
