Snoopy should turn into one of his heroic alter-egos and go liberate that other dog.

I agree…if you’re going to tether a dog 24/7, why have one? He won’t be able to defend your house from burglars etc, and the constant barking constitutes a public nuisance.

There’s no good answer. Dogs raid trash cans. Bite People. Fences are ugly.

Don’t misunderstand me, I love animals but what can we do to enjoy them without some kind of problem?

If it wasn’t for humans, Snoopy, you’d be stalking your own supper and living in a den that you dug in the ground. I think you’ve got it pretty good.

I have it on good authority that my 5 lb. Siamese is a very good watchcat.

After last week’s 1967 Sunday Peanuts strip was snubbed out for a 1958 Sunday, we are back on track with this 1967 Sunday – “Good morning, Snoopy!” “BLEAH!”

Pets need to train their humans.

We lived in a semi rural area where one of the neighbors had a pair of beautiful brown dobermans. They were very friendly dogs and allowed to roam at night. One morning, as I was leaving for work, I saw the female dead on the side of the road. She had been hit by a car right in front of her own house. I don’t allow my animals to roam free.

You let your dog roam free in my town, and it will be picked up by dog control and you will pay a fine.

I sense bigotry on Snoopy’s part. Lol

Dogs shouldn’t be allowed to roam free because things happen—they get hit by cars, or shot at by angry humans, or abused, or they get into fights sometimes. But that doesn’t mean tying them up in the back yard, either. Fence your yard, or better yet, let them into the house at night. If you have socialised your dog and taken the trouble to train it to be a good companion, it won’t be destroying your furniture or messing on the floor. It’s all about the human taking on the responsibilities that go with pet ownership.

Hang in there Snoopy — you’ll feel better about humans (and CB in particular) once that old tummy of yours starts to grumble and you notice a full food dish has just been delivered by said faithful human.

Nothing, Charlie Brown. It’s just Snoopy’s new way of saying “Good Morning” back.

If you’re going to get a dog just to make him stay outside all the time, you should just get a stuffed one instead.
