Active adult communities aren’t used to adults being that active.

Yep, Greta Garbone was so sexy that she could bring a statue to life.

The Stacys go by the motto “Use it or lose it!” So far, they’ve still got it.

    Welcome, all, once again….

to the comments for “CLEO and COMPANY”….

Today, another lovely poster by StelBel, in the

    March 26th  2020 strip.

    It’s on Sherpa

    http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy

    And wow… it’s Mata Hari!

    Greta Garbone looks so beautiful!

With her lovely gossamer wisps of costume…(ahem)..

…. beautiful job, Stel… kudos to both (cough) the costume designer and to you! ….

her come-hither lowered lids enhanced by …um… Youknow….

she’s a true femme fatale… in the tradition of the real Mata Hari herself.

    And Ramon Nov-arrooo… oooooo…… ooooooooo….

    Yes, he was a dog…..

and way before my time, thank-you-very-much….

But what a heartthrob. I’d take him for a walk any time.

I couldn’t find a poster for a human version that incorporates all the detail of Stel’s work…

which must be too complex for their lesser talents to steal….

I did find this, which I believe uses part of it….

and the rest of Stel’s artistry seems to be unique, as we knew it would be.

    ]

You know, my father could never stand Greta Garbone.

I don’t know why…. or whether it was actually her looks, as he claimed, or something she supposedly did….

but he always called her Greta Garbage.

Just think how much he would have disliked her human counterpart.

Arthur is stuck living next door to the Stacys. Their fitness activities go on day and night. Morning Zumba music, late morning weight training (with grunts), afternoon Crossfit, and then the daily parade around the block. They are so fit he wants to strangle them.

The Stacys reminded me about gyms.

They’re always full of preternaturally fit young people, looking like they’ve been painted with some sort of shiny stretchy paint…

springing about in impossible positions, and pushing and pulling and carrying things no human body should be asked to lift.

Nonetheless… I signed up for a free gym membership through my HMO (Kaiser) …

and I was just about to try to find out which machines I could use to strengthen my sadly arthritic knees…

    when… boom! …Covid 19.

Gyms are non-essential, and of course, perfect breeding grounds for viruses… so they’re all closed. Sigh…

And I keep forgetting to ask a couple of questions in reply to posts over the last couple of days… and also add a couple of things.

    I’m probably forgetting some but…

Impkins et al, and JP Steve…. what Mother Goose book were you discussing?

Plods… put my curious mind to rest… what the heck is a …um… “Hootchy coochy booth?” And who is the “we” that had one?

GerardD … did you mean you also live in California?

    I’m up north, BTW.

    I’m losing my memory here…

but one thing I remember wanting to say about early and late shopping, long lines and shortages, etc…

is that there’s NO NEED for any of it!

There is NO disruption to food production… or toilet paper manufacturing.

Yes, it’s a good idea to have some extra stuff in the house so you can go out as seldom as possible… but stores can easily handle that.

There’s NO reason to fill the freezer and the garden shed, anticipating a year of hardship.

Hoarding is what’s causing any shortages.

Why are there long lines, if people are supposed to stay home?

Stores should be more empty than usual, not packed!

    Meanwhile, the doors are open…

No reason you can’t buy cheese and tuna next week, if people leave some for other shoppers.

I see the Stacy’s have been getting into the white lightning again.

Another Stel-lar Thursday movie poster. Well done again.

HEY STEL, got a question for you, are you a CLASSIC movie fan like me? You and Nighthawks sure know how to pick some of the classics and make Cleo the star! :-) Of course, she’s a dog, so what else would she be but a star! ;-)
