Ladyfinger: you take YOURSELF off your addiction or you are never off it. You and Andy must have had the same pre-marital counselor: Control Freak Von Tramp.
If I can’t take my coffee break,
My coffee break, my coffee break …
If I can’t take my coffee break,
Something within me dies.
Lies down and something within me dies.
If I can’t make three daily trips
Where shining shrine
Benignly drips
And taste cardboard between my lips,
Something within me dies.
Lies down and something within me dies.
No coffee! No coffee! No coffee!
No coffee! No coffee! No coffee!
No coffee! No coffee!
That office light doesn’t have to be fluorescent;
I’ll get no pains in the head.
That office chair doesn’t have to be foam rubber;
So if I spread, so I spread;
But only one chemical substance
Gets out the lead–
Like she said:
If I can’t take my coffee break,
My coffee break, my coffee break …
If I can’t take my coffee break,
Gone is the sense of enterprise
All gone, and something within me dies.
No coffee! No coffee! No coffee!
No coffee! No coffee! No coffee!
No coffee! No coffee! No coffee!
No coffee!
If I can’t take my coffee break,
Somehow the soul no longer tries;
Somewhere I don’t metabolize;
Something within me …
Coffee or otherwise,
Coffee or otherwise,
Coffee or otherwise,
Something inside of me dies!

I know people that drink tea in the morning to get going. Others drink Diet Coke. Still others drink Mountain Dew. I know of one person who drinks Jolt to get going. I stick with good ol’ coffee.
I consider coffee to be one of God’s many gifts to mankind.
(If you really need a caffeine jolt, try English Breakfast Tea. That stuff will open your eyes!)
I keep a couple of the Starbucks Via ( instant coffee) in my bag and kitchen for my coffee fixation. My husband only drinks green tea, and if I brew a whole pot full, it goes to waste because I like 1-2 cups in the am and then I’m good to go.
Another should not decide what the other needs or wants, especially coffee!!
It should be in the marriage vows.

Not the coffee itself, Andy – the LACK thereof is what’s making him irritable!

My wife once bought coffee on sale with a coupon. Thank Heaven 7-11 $6.95/lb but worth every penny.

Time for those divorce preceedings. One does not mess with someone’s coffee and gets away with it.

Isn’t the lack of coffee grounds for divorce?

Woman, you have just made a powerful enemy – a man without his morning coffee.

Depends who’s making the coffee or tea & what kind they use.

I’m more into [mint-flavored] herbal tea, but I don’t drink a cup every morning. I only drink it when I feel like it.

Decafalon (n.): The grueling event of getting through the day consuming only things that are good for you.
