If you move and the new people take care and feed YOUR cat, YOUR cat want to stay in YOUR old home with the new people…Cats get comfotable with YOUR house not YOU…
Vegas Viper….I’m a cat lover but you are so right. When we moved from our first house, l kept the cat in the house for 3 days. As soon as l let her out she disappeared. After searching the neighborhood for her and not finding her, l went back to the old house and there she was…madder than all get out that they wouldn’t let her in.
nadine g, you should keep your cat in new home for a week or couple weeks. I have my deaf friend who had a black cat that they loved very much. When they moved to another home, they brought their cats with them. One of their cats disappeared suddenly. They searched for their cat. They suspected that their cat was probably at the old home so they went to the old home to check if the cat was there or not and found out that their cat was at the old home so they let it go abd leave the cat alone. The cat was more happy at the old home alone.
My cats are indoor cats, and they adjusted well to some homes, and not so well to others. If I were to do a comparison of the last three homes, they loved the first, HATED the second, but have thrived in the third…. :)
I had a cat that just loved the color pink. If there were multiple things to sit on, she would always pick the pink thing. After a bit, I took to placing a pink towel out so that she wouldn’t shed all over my couch and bed. It worked like a charm.
My cat knows (from when he was a teeny tiny kitten) that knitting is “Mommy’s toy” and that he has to go find his own twist tie or other toy for me to toss in between rows! Only once in a while the natural urge strikes and the yarn is “attacked.” On the other hand, I’m really diligent about not leaving my knitting “exposed.” He has me trained, too. Right now he’s getting into mischief which means it’s time to go get him some breakfast.

Opal, you should know that Muffin doesn’t listen what you yelled at it. Just pick Muffin off from your knitting thing on the counch.

I wonder what Opal is knitting, anyway. It’s nice and soft, so Muffin loves it :-)
