Andy, how could she think that of you? There you are right now lying about for hours on the sofa, trying to pick the pony that is going to pay you pub bill. Why? Because of your love of Flo and a fresh drawn pint.. There are not too many men who work as hard as you.. The men both sides of the pond salute you.
Andy has made it well known that he will not let his mother-in-law come between him and Flo. If only Flo was as committed to the marriage as Andy and would actually stand up to her. Flo could regain some her self esteem and her and Andy could rekindle the spark they once had. Perhaps the new couple across the street can remind Flo of everything they once had that she has since thrown away.
Again, good old “Mum”, doing everything she can to sabotage Flo and Andy’s happy marriage. Not only does she fabricate lies about Andy, but feels the need for sarcasm to insult him even further, thus adding insult to injury!
Andy has shown amazing strength over all these years by choosing to take the high road, ignoring the attacks upon him from Flo’s mother. Luckily she does not live with them, and soon she will once again be on her way.
Andy sets a fine example to all husbands by showing the strength to endure these attacks. We all applaud you Andy Capp! Someday, in the not too distant future, you will both be rid of her, once and for all.
