    @Charlie Brown

    Just more Old People (some in Power) installing HATE-software (or should I say Viruses) into Young People’s Hardware…

    “Dear Charlie Brown, I don’t hate you either. I could use your help. You see my country is going through some turmoil and I need help getting some money out of the country….”

    I think about a lot of things that make sleeping difficult, but at least I’m not as bad as poor ol’ Charlie Brown.

    “Dear Pen Pal, I know where you live is really quite far, would you please send directions on how I can get where you are? Your friend, Charlie Brown.” – From the musical “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown”

    Oh for Pete’s sake. Kids are dumber than dirt. They sometimes just luck out and say something adults think is profound. lol

    Knowing that someone hates him keeps him awake at night? Poor child.

    My wife works as a community health nurse. Part of her constituency are State Department refugees from Central Africa, Southeast and Central Asia and the Middle East.

    I accompany her on some of her visits. I see the kids playing soccer. There are 5 different languages being spoken on the field. Somehow the kids work it out. Now if us grownups could figure out how to compete and get along without killing each other, then maybe we can get somewhere.

    My association, through my wife, has led to some interesting experiences. I have been to a Muslim call to prayer, attended a goat roast and been blessed by a Buddhist monk.

    From “South Pacific”:You’ve got to be taughtTo hate and fear,You’ve got to be taughtFrom year to year,It’s got to be drummedIn your dear little earYou’ve got to be carefully taught.

    You’ve got to be taught to be afraidOf people whose eyes are oddly made,And people whose skin is a diff’rent shade,You’ve got to be carefully taught.

    You’ve got to be taught before it’s too late,Before you are six or seven or eight,To hate all the people your relatives hate,You’ve got to be carefully taught!

    If anything, Charlie Brown could have a future career as a diplomat.

    I think Charlie’s pencil friend is from the old DDR (East Germany) which means he’s got a good chance of getting a high score in the upcoming gymnastics competition.

    @Snoopy_FanThank you for understanding. I missed you a lot and I was thinking about you which kept me in a happy mood!-Apparently, GoComics does not have permission to run the old Andy Capp strips by Reg Smythe. It’s a real shame. However I know they re-run Calvin & Hobbes and Peanuts which are also wonderful strips.-I am pleased you enjoyed “Mack the Knife” I love that one! Are you glad our musical tastes are the same? I am. It gives us a lot to talk about.-You got snow? Oh poor you. But glad you got a day off work! That’s one of the best things about snow. -Sorry for the random question but I was just wondering… Do you smoke? If you do then I’m guessing it’s only on occasional thing like when you drink alcohol. I don’t smoke and I’m not planning to, I don’t drink alcohol either. -I hope I didn’t offend you when I asked that, I was just wondering that’s all.-My uncle died from lung cancer even though my Mum told me he quit smoking for 15 years but then started again. My Dad used to be a smoker too but successfully quit. My Mum smoked occasionally but doesn’t anymore.-I know I’ve said this before but I can’t tell you how much I appreciate you being there for me. I know I can always rely on your words of wisdom and helpfulness.-I hope you have a beautiful, fun filled weekend. I will be thinking about you!Love, Annelise
