In the ’50s and ’60s, our intrepid cub reporter Olsen found himself in all sorts of predicaments, mostly in “Imaginary Stories.” In one, he became Elastic Lad; in another, he became the Giant Turtle Boy. A bunch of these tales were collected in paperback a while ago.

(I can’t believe they killed off Jimmy Olsen on “Smallville”. How is it supposed to be a prequel to Clark Kent’s adult life with no Jimmy Olsen?)
