I think Lalo is old enough to consider anyone more trendy than him a hipster, and yes, the unwillingness to pay a fair wage is the similarity intended.

If she wants someone else to pay for it, then she’s definitely a modern liberal. Probably thinks she’s struggling and deserves the free labor.
