Those women are being portrayed as the stupidest things in the universe. Most of us are at least smart enough to know that there are garden tools available in hardware, variety and grocery stores, and even at Dollar Tree, and most of us who garden know how and do use them.
I have a growing empathy for Slim. These “boutique” women are awfully high maintenance, rather impolite folks. And, Clovia… well, I have always had a little empathy for Slim in regards to Clovia, for while she is attractive and generally pleasant…. she really does not seem to give a hoot about Slim and his feelings…. ever. And, most of the time, Clovia has a rather pronounced “lack of affect” which is a little disturbing…. suggesting a potential psychological disorder (although that idea is likely very far-fetched within the parameters of the comic setting).
And, dammit!!! I would like to see Joel and Rufus merge into the story line! They would help Slim liven up a bit, and maybe help him assert himself more successfully! Joel and Rufus are virtual magicians capable of darn near anything.
I meant to include a smiling emoticon ( :) ) to my previous Joel and Rufus statement…. for while it is true that I would like to have them incorporated into this story arc, I am not as “fire and brimstone” about it as my non-emoticon version of the statement may suggest. :)

Maybe on April 1st, there can be a reverse strip where Clovia is the butt of the joke and Slim is the winner!

Would really love to see Slim grow a pair, but once a door mat always a door mat.
