I think thats why it is called ‘From the Beginning” since the whole strip has been repeats for quite a while now….

Agreed. Barkeater Lake is a much more entertaining strip even when it jumps the shark. The characters are more sharply drawn and distinct. I can practically hear their voices in my head as I read. Elderberries is changing fast though. Looks more like Corey and there are new characters. It’s not at all the strip it was years ago when I stopped reading it. : -)) As for Toby, Morris Gumboot might be a promise that other BL characters could migrate.

To be fair, the “Elderberries” is paying the bills so it gets to stay. Deciding between “Barkeater Lake” and “Toby” was probably a coin toss situation. He chose “Toby” What a shame.

Toby is in reruns as well though… and he completely dropped his newest strip “Greene With Envy.”

Yeah Mr Doty, for a short while, there were new strips for each of Mr Pandolphs comics published as Angry Eyebrows… then he just stopped making any new strips and it simply vanished. I don’t know why that link is still there since the comic is no longer even in the selection offered.

I believe that he is only doing The Elderberries now.

Toby paid some bills for a while too, I suppose, while it appeared in the MetroNY and MetroBoston free daily newspapers.

Before Toby, there were horned Satan characters in L’il Spencer as well as in a recurring story arc of BL.

I like the various cross-fertilization ideas, but even more, I like the very concept of cross-fertilization - probably for the same reasons Corey does: everything benefits.

No sense second-guessing or complaining - Corey does whatever he can afford to do that benefits all his work. Even if we want to be the judges of that, we don’t deserve to unless we keep up with his life, which one can sort of do by following his Fake RockStar blog awhile. (I have no idea what we might be missing if we don’t follow Twitter as well.)

One problem with doing more strips: It’s work he doesn’t get paid for. Some are willing to work for nothing, just for love of the story. Mr. P. isn’t.
