Hey... I need your input... I'm working on a children's book trying to make Thanksgiving a more kid friendly holiday... Christmas has Santa Claus. Easter has the Easter Bunny... And now Thanksgiving has... Tommy the magic turkey! Tommy lives on a wonderful free range, totally organic farm where he makes cool toys n stuff with his Piglet helpers. The family in my story decorates a Thanksgiving rock which looks a lot like Plymouth Rock, only it's small enough to roll into their living room... Then on Thanksgiving morning the kids come down to find that Tommy visited in the night and placed toys all around the Thanksgiving rock! I'm having trouble with the ending though... It's kind of a downer when Tommy gets roasted and eat... Maybe if you made the rotisserie look more like a carousel...

What a turkey! (Either Tommy or Monty, take your choice.)Life is tough; I hope Tommy’s tender. And juicy….

Could be a ressurection like Phoenix from the ashes.

turkey sacrificed to feed the poor hungry kids.. maybe this would sell?

@bornfree99. @TueYes, he died for our hunger and then rose like the Phoenix reborn.
Wait… nah…. that’s too far fetched for even children to believe.

I…. don’t know…. the red suit is distracting. Too much like the other guy’s suit. Maybe a nice suit of gravy and potatoes with dressing. yah…. that would work, but it would not be a story for the very young.

When he has kids to buy Christmas gifts for one day, he’s going to be happy that his story idea for Thanksgiving gifts crashed and burned.

I don’t think Jim Meddick has lifted any sizable rocks. That one pictured would take 3-4 professional weightlifters to move. And flat on the bottom? There’s NO rolling that sucker!
