That sign brought back memories. .@observer: every time the self proclaimed geniuses, especially “the suits” get a great idea it goes wrong. They can’t resist messing with a good thing.
When I was little there was stretch long 95th street that contained a shoe store, a luncheonette, and a Sherwin-William’s store. I remember sitting in the old Buick. looking up at that sign and wondering why anyone thought making such a mess was something to be proud of. Fifty-five years later, I STILL look at some ads and think the same thing. ;-)
