Love the progression of Doug’s expressions. Canada Day – couple of sunny summers ago – friend & I sitting in the shade people watching. Guy striding along, big happy pitbull padding along in the heel position. Gets a smidge in front – guy snaps his fingers once. Dog immediately drops back. Still looking all happy. And ignoring the leash. The eight year old daughter is in the rear, proudly gripping the taunt leash.

If Linus figured out to let go of his blanket, he’d have been much less of a pumpkin-headed kite, too.

Methinks Sophie got up on the wrong side of her blankey today. Poor little Doug doesn’t deserve her ’tude today.
