If cats weren’t afraid of water, I’d ask him to do “Twistin’ By The Pool”.

Wouldn’t surprise me in the least since the Emmys are the Television Academy awards, and everyone knows those guys vote for whatever is new and shiny. (Yes I know you – probably – meant the Grammy but it was just too easy a target.)

Mark Knopfler, the greatest singer, song writer, guitar player EVER. Brothers in Arms great album, also On Every Street, my favorite tracks Calling Elvis and Heavy Fuel. Love his single albums even more. Goldenheart, Ragpickers Dream, All the Roadrunning, Sailing to Philadelphia, all the sound tracks he’s done. I could go on and on but I think you’ve figured out I LOVE HIM. Satchel has good taste!!!!

Best gag I ever heard on MP3: Weird Al mashed up “Money for Nothing” and the theme from “The Beverly Hillbillies”; and Mark Knopfler agreed to the parody on one condition — he got to play the guitar solos. Al jumped on that like a nuclear-powered pogo stick.

Just getting to this strip. I wonder if Conley got us with Bucky’s “Dire Straights” comment in panel four? The large prehistoric Dire Wolves, which would have indeed made the Orpheum dire.
