I’ve seen the new urban sport of “Texter Bumper Car” firsthand in Chicago. It’s fun to stop and have them run into you or look up at the last second and dodge you then run into some else.
Years ago, when walking with some friends and waiting to cross the street, we would all look up, raise one arm, and point up into the sky. It was fun to see how many others would follow suit and even ask what we were pointing at..Today, it likely would not happen. With everyone so engrossed with their “devices” no one would even notice!
