Goat: What are you doing, Pig?
Pig: Someone hurt my feelings. And whenever that happens, I plant a fig tree. It's my way of turning a negative into a positive.
Pig: Hope you like figs.
A neighbor has a fig tree, by the way, and every yard within a square block seems to have had a seedling pop up thanks to the birds. Ours was producing its first few figs seven feet off the ground the same year it sprouted! (But it was taking out the fence and had to go.) They are happily, invasively prolific—Pig doesn’t need to plant more than the first one.

All we need now are some Newtons.

Figs fresh off the tree are excellent! Let’s all hurt Pig’s feelings some more!; there’s still a lot of empty acreage to be filled up….

Pig shouldn’t hang around Rat so much.

I wonder how Fig Tree wood works out for furniture or would be better to use as fire wood. Pig is doing his worst to re-forest the plains.
jmartin1955 about 10 years ago
I may have planted one tree by now

I love figs. And planting a tree somewhere for every negative event in our lives is not a bad idea!!

This is all just a Fig Newton of my Imogene Coca.

Wow if more people did this we could end world hunger, we would just need to alternate with other fruits likes pears, apples, etc.

Maybe Pig can get Rat’s guilt people from earlier this week to help him pick his crop.

Mike Parsons Premium Member about 10 years ago
Fig-uratively speaking, yes.

It’s all just a figment of his imagination.
A neighbor has a fig tree, by the way, and every yard within a square block seems to have had a seedling pop up thanks to the birds. Ours was producing its first few figs seven feet off the ground the same year it sprouted! (But it was taking out the fence and had to go.) Pig, don’t worry. I think you’re great (so turn a positive into a negative and CHOP DOWN THE &$&# TREE)
