I wonder how Fig Tree wood works out for furniture or would be better to use as fire wood. Pig is doing his worst to re-forest the plains.

I love figs. And planting a tree somewhere for every negative event in our lives is not a bad idea!!

Wow if more people did this we could end world hunger, we would just need to alternate with other fruits likes pears, apples, etc.

Fig-uratively speaking, yes.

It’s all just a figment of his imagination.

A neighbor has a fig tree, by the way, and every yard within a square block seems to have had a seedling pop up thanks to the birds. Ours was producing its first few figs seven feet off the ground the same year it sprouted! (But it was taking out the fence and had to go.) They are happily, invasively prolific—Pig doesn’t need to plant more than the first one.

I wonder who else has hurt Pig’s feelings aside from Rat?
