Heart: All hail the blowing of the "holiday horn" the official sound of the official start of the gift giving season! Mom: I hate the holiday horn. Heart: c'mon, mom! Those Christmas presents aren't going to buy themselves!
I found this on Wikipedia but no reference when he might have appeared in the ’toon. I sort of recall Heart going to the theater and approaching him but he rather brushed her off. Apparently he was “off scene.”
“Antonio Gallo: Heart’s father, never seen in the strip and thus far only referred to by his stage name. He left Addy just after Heart was born. An actor, and perhaps the source of Heart’s obsession with the theater, he was last known to be playing a one-man show about the life of Walt Disney.”
As I recall it, several years ago there was an arc where Heart travels to the New York City theatre district and looks around for her dad. I think she and Dean took the train without telling anybody. Anyway, she is unable to locate him and tosses some handwritten thing she had made for him in a sidewalk trash can. In the final panel, with Heart walking away in the distance, we see part of a figure with “back to camera” taking Heart’s note (or whatever it was) out of the trash can.
To my knowledge, this is the one and only time in the entire run that Heart’s dad has appeared.

I was trying to find the arc where Heart found her Father. Does anyone recall?

I love seeing Heart in reruns, cuz then she has her ballerina skirt. I miss her ballerina skirt in the current strips.
