when i was growing up oh sooooooo many years ago the legend was that a very good running back had attended our high school. the problem was he couldn’t get the plays right and always ended up being in the wrong place at the wrong time. so the coach painted a red spot on one football shoe and a blue spot on the other football shoe and when he sent in a running play he would have the quarterback tell the running back simply to run to the blue side or red side and with the rest of the players he would call the play. the legend says that the running back went on to gain more yards than anyone else in our high school. again – legend or truth?
